Here at Complex Creative, we’re all about doing what we can for others. This is why we have a pro-bono programme and do so much around sustainability.
We have been working hard on ensuring we drastically reduce our carbon footprint and help educate others about the impact their businesses are having on the environment. We are also on our own journey to get that B Corp Certification.
Our director, Sabrina Chevannes is part of BIMA’s Sustainability Council and meets with them fortnightly to discuss various environmental matters in the digital industry and how they can provide a positive impact on others.
It was here she met Marcus Hemsley from Fountain Partnership who told her about his idea to get other businesses to plant 1 million trees.
So, what is the Million Tree Pledge?
The pledge is to rise up, and draw down, by committing to planting 1 million trees over the next 10 years. As part of the pledge, you must also find at least two other businesses to take the pledge with you.
We are using Ecologi to plant the trees and we have decided to pledge to plant TWO MILLION TREES. Our Complex Creative forest is for all the trees that our company personally wishes to plant and all the carbon we choose to offset, alongside that of our clients. We plant trees on behalf of our clients every time they pay an invoice with us.
We then have a second forest called the No Bullsh*t Forest, where we are trying inspire 10 businesses to take the pledge with us and make a collective forest. Planting 1 million trees is not easy and so we thought we could encourage 10 businesses to come together and plant 100,000 trees instead.
